I belonged to the cerebral and mechanical world of science, with no experience
of art of any kind, during early years of my life. But after coming to US , I got the
exposure to the world of art and I found it very close to human heart and soul.
All my creation is about playfulness, a pure physical manifestation of the
energy. Just the process of creation , rather than the end result matters.
Through art, I am trying to seek a state of Primal Innocence.
My current work is focused on a pouring technique, that allows for playfulness
and spontaneity. Colors, movement and experimentation are important part of
my paintings. As the colors are poured on the canvas, I move and tilt the canvas to
mix the colors. From this mixing of the colors, I bring out some idea or
composition, based on which , I progress to make the final painting.
The 20th century eastern mystic Osho has a great deal of influence on me as a
person and as an artist. Effortless effort, spontaneity, living in the present
moment in non-objective way, let-go are the key elements in my art.
